In case you’ve not heard, peanuts were the nasty culprit indicted in the widespread salmonella outbreak that swept the country this past year, killing 18 people, and hospitalizing hundreds. The peanuts, which have made their way into thousands of food products, originated from a plant in Georgia. A massive recall is underway, and the FDA, in all it’s glory has developed a desktop widget to keep track of it all. The fact that this is so widespread to deserve it’s own widget is truly disturbing.
