If you’re reading this, I know that you’re hip to the fact that toxins in our consumer products, our drinking water, our food, and in the air we breathe are affecting our health. In big, big ways.
You’re probably also hip to the fact that this is not an easy situation to address.
For the last 10 years I’ve been following everything that the Environmental Working Group has been doing because their mission in the same as mine: “to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment.” They have served as a huge inspiration for me, and are powerful resource for consumers – one that I point to regularly.
Starting tomorrow (heck, even tonight at some stores!) the “Black Friday Sales” kick off, and people around this country will pile into stores buying items that they don’t realize might make them sick.
EWG has a goal of raising $20,000 on Giving Tuesday to fund the work they do. This isn’t a Facebook “like” or “share” – it’s an action driven request for you to help the organization that’s devoted to helping YOU and ME live better, healthier lives.
Last month I had the incredible pleasure to meet EWG’s founder, and one of my personal hero’s, Ken Cook. After nearly 8 years of researching environmental health issues, and 5 years of teaching, this was a HUGE moment for me (I mean really… that smile on my face couldn’t be bigger!)
Giving Tuesday is our chance to really give back to an organization that’s been looking after us for well over a decade.
EWG depends on donations to do this work, and now more than ever with the EPA in the crosshairs of our incoming president, they need our support.
Normally during this holiday weekend I offer my own Black Friday sale, but I’m skipping it this year because THIS.IS.SO.IMPORTANT.
Give $5, give $10, give $50.
If you’re a client of mine, you’ve paid much, much more than that to learn from me… I’d love for you to put in a little extra if you can!
Thank you so much for joining me on this!
