Grant Research Services
This is grant support, not full grant writing—I don’t prospect for funders, manage applications, or own the proposal. What I do is handle the research and narrative work that makes the rest of the proposal stronger.
The grant space is highly competitive, and strong data alone isn’t enough. Analyzing, synthesizing, and shaping that data into a clear, compelling story is what builds a strong case for funding.
Ways I Can Help
Each project is different. Some need external data analysis; others need help making sense of what the organization has already collected. Many need both, along with the narrative to tie it together. These four areas can be engaged individually or in combination, depending on what your project needs.
Community & Population Data Analysis
Analysis and synthesis of external data sources—Census, CDC PLACES, State Cancer Profiles, and similar datasets—to build a clear, accurate picture of the population served and the community need. The focus is on what the data actually shows, how it compares to state or national benchmarks, and what it means for the proposal.
Most useful when: you need a strong, evidence-based community need section and don't have existing data to draw from.
Internal Program Data Analysis
Many health nonprofits are sitting on valuable data—client demographics, service utilization, program outcomes, needs assessment results—that never makes it into grant applications. I can work with your existing data to identify the most relevant findings, organize them clearly, and translate them into language that speaks directly to funder priorities.
Most useful when: your organization collects program or client data but hasn't had the capacity to put it to work in proposals.
Evidence Synthesis
A focused review of existing research to support the case for funding—identifying relevant studies, synthesizing key findings, and connecting the evidence to your program's approach and goals.The result is a targeted, grant-appropriate synthesis of what the research supports, written for a funder audience rather than an academic one.
Most useful when: your proposal needs to demonstrate that the approach is evidence-informed, or that the problem is well-documented in the literature.
Grant-Ready Narrative Development
Taking the data, evidence, and supporting materials and shaping them into clear, persuasive, funder-facing narrative. This includes needs statements, problem summaries, community context sections, and quick-reference data summaries written to be used directly in a proposal or adapted by the grant writer.
Most useful when: you have the data and research but need it translated into polished, proposal-ready language.

My Background
I have 14 years of experience teaching health professionals about environmental health through my private business, where I’ve spent years reading scientific literature, synthesizing evidence, and translating complex information into clear, accessible educational content. That same skill set —finding what matters, understanding the research, and making it readable—is what drives this work.
More recently, I’ve applied that foundation directly to grant support, developing grant-ready research and narratives for nonprofit health proposals. I’m currently pursuing my MPH and continue to deepen my work at the intersection of health education, research, and communication. I specialize in environmental health but work across a range of health-related topics.
