Conventional makeup products can be pretty ugly when it comes to ingredients, but finding good quality makeup products that don’t contain questionable or harmful chemicals can be tricky! Below you’ll find some of my favorite products, brands, and online stores for safer beauty products.

Foundation
Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation
Ilia’s True Skin Serum Foundation is a serum-like buildable foundation. It’s an oil-based foundation that is super silky and actually looks like skin — nothing cakey or streaky. Low maintenance, clean, and easy to use!
Exa High Fidelity Foundation
An amazing buildable foundation in over 43 colors! Exa Beauty High Fidelity Foundation is a weightless vegan foundation that can be worn sheer to full coverage for a luminous glow.
Alima Pure Pressed Powder Foundation
While this pressed powder is my favorite, everything in the Alima Pure line is excellent. They have a full line of makeup, including eyeshadows, brow pencils, mascara, and lipstick.
Juice Beauty C.C. Cream
Juice Beauty is another skincare line that’s readily available at places like Whole Foods, and stores like Ulta & Bluemercury. They offer a full line of moisturizers, cleaners, masks, serums and makeup. While not what I would call “ultra clean” this line is still miles better than conventional products.
Crunchi Flawless Foundation
Crunchi products are buildable, adaptable, and filled with skin-loving ingredients like jojoba, aloe, and rosehip. This foundation comes in 11 shades but if you need help finding your shade, you can order a sample kit first!
100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation
100% Pure was one of the earlier non-toxic skincare & makeup lines to hit the scene. They have a unique line of make up that are are colored using vibrant fruit, vegetable, tea and other plant pigments, including shades for darker skin tones. This has been a favorite line of mine for years!
Lip & Cheek
Kari Gran Lip Whip
This is a product I have been using for years. Kari Gran’s Lip Whips are the perfect mix between a balm and a lipstick. There are 6 shades (some with shimmer and some without) but all are fairly sheer but are also buildable, giving the perfect tint to your lips.
RMS Lip2Cheek
As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of makeup, I like having multi-purpose products. This is one of them! The Lip2Cheek formula can be easily applied with your fingers and used on your lips and cheeks. The colors are super pigmented so they last for a really long time.
Kjaer Weis Cream Blush
Natural beauty and luxury cosmetics are typically mutually exclusive descriptions…unless you’re a company like Kjaer Weis. Their products are super clean and come in re-fillable packaging (hello, sustainability!) Their blush is very blendable and applies easily with the warmth of your hands.
Ilia Lipstick
This company makes incredible makeup, but they’re most famous for their wide selection of lip sticks, lip pencils, and lip gloss. These are lux products that are reasonably priced. There are few ingredients that I’m not in love with, but overall this is an excellent line that’s lightyears better than conventional makeup.
W3ll People Optimist Lipstick
W3LL People products are not only EWG Verified, they’re available at Target stores! They a full line of foundations, concealer, cheek stains, eye shadows and lip colors. I love this lip stick!
Beautycounter Statement Maker Satin Lipstick
Beautycounter’s Statement Maker Satin Lipstick is ultra popular in the clean beauty space. They are a long-wearing, satin finish, non-drying formula which is amazing for a #clean beauty brand. Beautycounter also uses third party testing for heavy metals.
Ilia Multi-Stick
An award winning multi-use product that can be used as a blush, lipstick or eyeshadow! This hydrating stick gives you a flush of color on-the-go, that is buildable and blendable. Glide onto cheeks and lips for a soft wash of color that’s easy to wear, with moisturizing properties of vitamin E and shea butter.
Crunchi Hydrogloss
Crunchi’s Hydrogloss Lipgloss is an ultra nourishing organic and vegan formula. The finish is shiny but not sticky and actually hydrates the lips with organic oils like coconut oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil.
RMS Beauty Living Luminizer
RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer has been a cult favorite for a long time now. This gives you a subtle “lit from within” glow when you apply it to the high points of your cheeks, cupid’s bow, and the inner corners of the eyes. This is one of those versatile multi-use products that make you look suspiciously good with minimal effort!

Mineral Fusion Eye Pencil
Mineral Fusion eyeliners are clean, creamy, and easy to find! It’s great to have clean beauty staples for those times when you need something to feel a little more put-together. This does that at a reasonable price!
Naked Poppy Clean Liquid Eyeliner
Naked Poppy is a brand I was recently introduced to and have been loving. Their products are formulated with a tremendous amount of care and are clean, but also very luxurious. The eyeliner is heavily pigmented and doesn’t skip or smudge. If you like felt tip liners, this is a great option for you.

Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara
Buildable, flake-free natural mascara that curls, lengthens and adds just the right amount of volume for healthy-looking lashes. The dual sided brush catches and separates every lash. Formulated with beeswax and shea butters, and is made to last all day, yet comes off easily at the end of the night.
Ecobella Mascara
Hands down, my favorite mascara. I’ve tried probably a dozen brands over the years, and I always come back to this one. No smearing, no flaking. I’ve not tried other products in this line, but I LOVE this one!
