Everyday Exposure To Toxic Chemicals Is The #1 Most Overlooked Factor Leading To Chronic Illness.
Leaders in Functional and Environmental Medicine agree: “Toxicity is the primary driver of disease.”
Unfortunately, most health professionals simply don’t have the knowledge they need to confidently counsel their clients about environmental toxins.
All too often, clients are left to their own devices to seek out information on YouTube, Instagram, and random “health” blogs… leading them down a rabbit hole of sensationalized misinformation and scare tactics.
The truth is: If you’re not educating clients on how to reduce their exposure to environmental toxins, you’re unwittingly undermining their results.
Nearly Every Chronic Health Issue Your Clients Face Is Linked To Environmental Toxicants
- Weight Gain
- Insulin Resistance
- Diabetes
- Brain Fog
- PCOS
- Autoimmune
- Hormone Issues
- Chronic Fatigue
- Autism
- Endometriosis
- Infertility
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Anxiety
- Gut Dysbiosys
- Heart Disease
- Cancer
- Thyroid Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- And More...
Environmental Toxins Are Everywhere, But…
The average medical school curriculum only offers 7 hours of training on environmental chemicals – if it’s offered at all.
While many health professionals jump straight to detox protocols, the truth is identifying and removing toxins can have a bigger, faster and longer-lasting impact on their clients’ health.

Hi, I’m Lara Adler
I’m an Environmental Health Educator and Science Communicator, and I teach health professionals, and individuals with health-based businesses to better understand the role of environmental chemical exposures in causing or contributing to chronic health issues, so they can more comprehensively support the clients/patients they serve.
I train my students to become experts in everyday toxic exposures so they can improve client outcomes without spending hundreds of hours researching on their own.
Since 2012, I’ve worked with nearly 5,000 health professionals in over 35 countries around the world.
And, I’ve organically build a social media following of over 115,000 people all by sharing powerful, engaging, balanced, and evidence-based information on toxic exposures and our health!
Got Questions? Check Out The FAQ!
The Talking Toxins course is designed for health professionals, but you do not have to be one to benefit from what you’ll learn.
Most of my students are health professionals like: health coaches, nutritionists, nurses, chiropractors, acupuncturists, occupational therapists, doula/midwives, etc.. I also have a lot of healthy-living bloggers, and healthy-living product consultants for companies like Beautycounter and Doterra as students, as learning about environmental toxins benefits their business.
A small number of my students are super motivated moms, or people on their own healing journey who are seeking ways to decrease their toxic load. If this is you, you’re welcome to join!
Talking Toxins is a self-paced online course consisting of 5 modules (28 lessons).
Each module consists of a series of lessons delivered in a video presentation format. Written transcripts and audio downloads for each lesson will be made available on our course membership page.
This course is not a detox in the conventional sense, although by following the recommendations throughout this course, you will be able to guide your clients on removing or reducing toxins from their daily environment, thereby “detoxing” your client’s living spaces. In order for our bodies to effectively detox, we need to ease the burden of chemicals it’s trying to process, and we do that by reducing our exposure
Additionally, this course does not teach detoxification protocols: this is outside of the scope of practice for many of my students. The first, most important, and most overlooked step in detoxification is actually avoidance, which is exactly what you’ll learn inside this course!
If you’ve been a follower of mine for a while, you may have noticed that this course is similar to the now retired Tools for Teaching Toxicity, and Blueprint courses.
Talking Toxins is a brand new course that merges together much of the material that was originally covered in both Tools & Blueprint, which are no longer available, along with new content not included in either of those programs. If you are a former Tools or Blueprint student, special upgrade pricing is available for you – please email me at la**@la*******.com for details.
The Talking Toxins course is the precursor to the advanced Certificate Course in Environmental Health, which goes much deeper into various aspects of this space and offers highly personalized business consulting in small group formats.
Maybe. But will you?
In my experience people just don’t, because this field is VAST and DEEP and COMPLICATED! It’s taken me years of research and thousands of hours to create this course.
Why re-create the wheel? Part of what makes this training so great is that I take all complexity and distill it into small, easy, and actionable steps. I’ve also been doing this research for nearly 10 years now, and have hundreds of online and offline resources at my disposal that help me to better understand this complex field of chemical toxins. So, sure, while you technically can do this research yourself, I can just about promise you that you won’t want to!
YES!
I designed this course to be EASY for you, and that includes providing you with materials – specifically the 10 white-labeled handouts – that you can share directly with your clients.
During your second week in the course, you’ll get access to all 10 of these client-facing resources in Microsoft Word format. You’re free to edit them however you wish, add your logo, branding, etc. These are written in a client-facing language that’s clear and easy to understand.
Additionally, the content inside the Practitioner Talking Point handouts are also available for you to use as Instagram, FB or other social media copy, as soundbites when talking to your clients, or making videos.
The rest of the course materials may not be shared, as it’s for your educational purposes only.
To read the full details about what you can and can’t share, please click here to access the Terms & Conditions.
YES! Low-income and BIPOC communities in the US and abroad often experience disproportionate exposures to environmental chemicals. These communities also often lack access to healthy food and green spaces and lack access to education around helping to minimize exposure and optimize health.
My goal in offering scholarship seats to this course is to help bring practical, and actionable education to those communities who need it most.
We offer 2 types of scholarship:
An Equity Scholarship discount that is awarded to low-income and BIPOC individuals and a full Community Work Scholarship for folks working in a non-profit, or clinical capacity in low-income or BIPOC communities.
At the moment, we are making 12 Community Work scholarships available each year, and an unlimited number of Equity Scholarships!
